Summer Adventure
Salomon came to TAKE with a clear brief: they wanted to show their high performance outdoor gear freely transitioning from water to land. That goal was difficult to pull off. Shooting in March in Europe with a turnaround of just 10 days to find a suitable location presented real challenges. However, our expedited scouting process highlighted Albania as the perfect setting, with our lean but expert production team able to meet the client’s expectations on a single-day shoot.
With such a short period between the initial approach and the client’s preferred shooting date, we urgently scouted locations. Following an initial Europe-wide search, Albania was chosen for its brilliant light and untamed riverbeds. The country’s relaxed permit rules also allowed us to move quickly, pressing on with other key requirements on this full-service production. Supporting the client with art buying and selecting the artists for the shoot, Ollie Radford was chosen as the photographer thanks to a match in style. While Ogan Imren was chosen as he demonstrated the technical ability to capture the product underwater, an important element of the concept for the campaign. It was vital to bring together a small but expert team for such a quick turnaround. We drew upon our network of European wide suppliers to provide casting, styling and lighting; we drew upon local experts as well to help us find untouched locations that brought this exciting concept into reality.
