Some campaigns don’t just sell a product, they create a feeling. The latest Schwartau Samt campaign wasn’t just about jam; it was about a state of mind. A world where softness is strength, optimism is a perspective, and connection is to be savoured.
The challenge? Translating their velvety-smooth experience into a striking digital out-of-home (DOOH) campaign. Together with photographer-director duo apricotberlin, we crafted a campaign merging beauty photography, fashion aesthetics, and emotional storytelling into a seamless visual experience.
The Brief: A Call for Softness
Under the motto “Laast uns samt sein” (Let us be velvet), the campaign aimed to inspire a softer, more optimistic way of seeing the world – mirroring the creamy, seedless texture of Schwartau Samt. This was more than a product showcase; it was about evoking a mood. Close-ups of touch, taste, and texture invited the audience to experience velvet with all their senses.
Our goal was to balance high-end visuals with emotional resonance while tackling:
- A photography-driven DOOH video campaign. Stills had to translate seamlessly into short, high-impact motion assets.
- A fashion & beauty aesthetic. The visuals had to feel premium yet relatable, elevating the product beyond traditional food advertising.
- Multiple stories with intersecting characters. The campaign wasn’t just about individual moments; it was about connection.
